We received an email last night from our Travel Facilitator that CCAA (China Center for Adoption affairs) has reviewed and approved our adoption dossier. we are very excited because we were told that it has been taking, on average, 90 days for this to be completed!
The next stage for paperwork will now have us completing "Hague Requirements" (as in the United Nations) for inter-country approval. This step is different for each province in Canada, but in BC it means we now need to go and get an updated criminal record check and prior contact sheet from the Ministry of Children and Family.
After we receive back these forms, we send them off to CCAA along with our "Care Nurturing Plan" for Sylive. When CCAA receives this information we will then be given travel approval to go to China! Yey!
Okay... all that stress about nothing!!!! Congratulations, I thought ours was fast!
